Disposable Numbers / One-Time Use Numbers

Disposable Numbers (One-Time Use Numbers) #

Disposable numbers are made for one-time SMS verification—so you can sign up or verify an account without giving out your personal phone number. They’re real SIM-based, non-VoIP numbers, which helps with platforms that reject VoIP.

When to use a disposable number #

Use a one-time number if you:

  • Only need one SMS code to finish signup
  • Want maximum privacy (use it once, then it’s gone)
  • Don’t expect the platform to ask for more codes later

If you think you’ll need future re-verification (logins, security checks, device changes), a long-term rental is usually the safer option.

How to use a one-time number (step-by-step) #
  1. Sign in to your MobileSMS.io dashboard
  2. Top up credits (minimum deposit applies)
  3. Choose One-Time, then pick:
    • Country
    • Platform/service (or choose “Other” if it isn’t listed)
  4. Click Get Number (we automatically assign one based on your selection)
  5. Enter the number on the site/app you’re verifying, then watch the code arrive in your dashboard in real time
Pricing & billing (no surprises) #
  • Starts at: $3.50 per SMS received
  • Price depends on: country + platform (example: USA Facebook $4.50, USA Google $4.25)
  • No hidden fees: credits are only deducted when an SMS is successfully received
Platform coverage #

Disposable numbers work with 1,200+ services (social, email, messaging, marketplaces, finance, and more).

Important limits to know #
  • One-time numbers are single-use (you can’t “keep” or reuse them later).
  • MobileSMS.io is built for receiving SMS verification codes (not a full phone plan).
  • Some services require two-way SMS. MobileSMS.io is one-way (receive-only), so those platforms won’t work.
Troubleshooting: not receiving the SMS #

If a code doesn’t show up:

  • Make sure your IP/location roughly matches the country of the number
  • If the platform blocked the number, try another number
  • For stricter platforms, consider “cleaner” setup (separate browser profile / stable environment)

  1. I try using it from baidu but they require the phone to send a SMS to another number and there is no function to do that.
